Gated, maintained by the Merit Gated Consortium, is a UNIX implementation of all routing protocols currently in common use, including RIP versions 1 and 2, OSPF 2, and BGP 2 through 4. The Gated website includes HTML pages describing the installation and configuration of the software. GateD it is available "upon request and at no charge for use as specified in the copyright and other restrictions contained in the GateD source files" (GateD Consortium Agreement).
